Brainspotting is a modern psychotherapy method that helps release traumatic memories, blocked emotions, and deep-seated experiences through the natural connection between our gaze and brain function.
Your unprocessed experiences and traumas are “stored” in specific areas of the brain. When we fix our gaze on a particular point in space, it activates these zones and triggers the brain’s natural self-healing process.
The brain gets the opportunity to complete what it once couldn’t fully process—to work through trauma, release pain, and find internal balance.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting works directly with deep brain structures, allowing for faster and more effective results. You don’t need to retell your traumatic story in detail over and over again—your brain knows how to heal itself; it just needs the right trigger in a safe environment and with professional support.
Have experienced traumatic events—accidents, violence, loss of loved ones, military action, natural disasters. Even if these events happened long ago, they may continue affecting your life through anxiety, intrusive memories, or nightmares.
Experience anxiety and panic attacks—unexplained fear, constant tension, sense of danger, difficulty relaxing, physical manifestations of anxiety (rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, trembling).
Struggle with depression—chronic fatigue, loss of meaning in life, absence of joy from things that once brought pleasure, difficulty making decisions.
Have chronic pain or psychosomatic symptoms—headaches, back pain, stomach problems that doctors cannot explain through physical causes. Such pain often has emotional roots.
Feel blocked in self-realization—fear of failure, impostor syndrome, inability to achieve goals despite abilities and efforts, internal conflicts regarding career or creativity.
Have relationship problems—recurring destructive patterns, difficulty trusting, fear of intimacy, attachment issues.
Are dealing with consequences of a difficult childhood—emotional or physical neglect, toxic family relationships, lack of feeling safe in childhood.
Brainspotting is suitable for adults of any age. The method can also be adapted for working with teenagers. The only limitation is acute psychotic states requiring inpatient treatment. In all other cases, Brainspotting can become your tool for deep positive changes.
During a Brainspotting session, we work together to find what’s called a “brainspot”—a specific point in your visual field connected to the issue you’re working on. When you fix your gaze on this point (I help you find it using specialized exercises and tools), your brain gains access to where the trauma or emotional block is “stored.”
You simply observe what’s happening inside—emotions, bodily sensations, thoughts, memories. I’m there with you, supporting you and creating a safe space. Your brain begins its natural processing—what has been “frozen” for years gradually thaws, gets processed, and releases.
Many clients describe this process as a feeling of relief, as if a weight is lifting from their shoulders. Some experience waves of emotions that eventually subside. Others come to sudden realizations about themselves and their lives.
Important: Brainspotting allows you to work with trauma without needing to describe it in detail. You can experience relief without diving into painful details of the past. This makes the method safe and comfortable even for working with the most difficult experiences.
Brainspotting therapy is an opportunity to finally free yourself from the burden of the past and start living a full life. It’s not just talking about problems—it’s a deep transformation that happens at the level of the brain and body.
Many of my clients notice improvement after the first few sessions. Some feel relief after several meetings, others need more time—each story is unique. But one thing is common: when you give your brain the opportunity to complete its natural healing process, changes become inevitable.
